LEIRIA (POR): European Athletics President Svein Arne Hansen described this year’s edition of the European Throwing Cup in Leiria as “one of the best I’ve attended.” “We knew that Leiria would stage an excellent competition. The city has played host to many big competitions at junior and senior level in recent seasons and the quality of organisation has always been of a very high standard. I can also say this year’s European Throwing Cup was one of the best I’ve attended,” said President Hansen. The 2019 edition of the European Throwing Cup will be held in Samorin, Slovakia on 9-10 March. Informs European Athletics.
