SHANGHAI (CHN): World Indoor champion Christian Coleman will make his Diamond League debut in Shanghai on 12 May when he goes head-to-head with defending champion Su Bingtian in a 100m showdown that’s sure to be one of the highlights of a star-studded evening of world-class athletics. Also running World champion Justin Gatlin. Canada’s Olympic bronze medallist, Andre de Grasse, will also be in the mix with British relay World champion Chijindu Ujah. In the 100 m also world 200m champion, Ramil Guliyev from Turkey and Japanese record holder Yoshihide Kiryu – two more sub-10 men. The women’s 200m line-up is no less impressive with two-time world champion Dafne Schippers making her Shanghai debut against Jamaica’s double Olympic sprint champion Elaine Thompson. Also sprinting will be Marie Josee Ta Lou and Commonwealth gold medalist Shaunae Miller-Uibo with US Kimberlyn Duncan and Deejah Steven with Kyra Jefferson. Mujinga Kambundji of Switzerland and top local runner Wei Yongli are completing the field.
