The Men’s shot put is one of the highlight events at the Nike Pre Classic. Ryan Crouser has had some serious throws, including a series of three over 22 meters in Chula Vista last month. Ryan Crouser has had some big duels on Hayward Field.

Ryan Crouser is a perfectionist. He is also one of the most competitive people that I have ever met. This guy likes to throw a sixteen pound steel ball 23 or 24 meters on a great day. He and Tom Walsh are like knights jousting. The throws get farther and farther.

Hayward Field is a pretty good place to watch shot putters. In this video, Ryan speaks about trying to gain weight. I don’t know about you, but I would give him fifty pounds. I have, dear readers, digressed.

Enjoy the video, and remember, Watch the Men’s Shot put at the Pre Classic!
