Second Spanish Juliet Itoya windy 683 (+2.6, legal 643 +1.4). Alexandra Tarvernier won hammer for France 73.67 over Kivilcim Kaya of Turkey 71.07. Moroccans ruled in distances. Soufian El Bakkali won steeple in 8:20.97 ahead of Amor Ben Yahia of Tunisia 8:26.14. In the 5000 m Younes Essalhi got 13:56.12 ahead of Soufiyane Bouqantar 13:56.28. Bosnian Hamza Alic was the surprise shot put winner with 20.43 over Stipe Zunic of Croatia 20.21. Fast times in 400 m heats by Italian Davide Re 45.86 and Cyprus Eleni Artymata 51.76.
