PRAHA (CZE): Czech Republic will be represented by 49 athletes in Berlin, 25 men and 24 women. Top medal hopes are Tomas Stanek in shot put, Jakub Vadlejch in javelin (with Vitezslav Vesely and Petr Frydrych), Radek Juska in long jump and Jakub Holusa in the 1500 m. Pavel Maslak will defend his silver from last championships 2016 in the 400 m. From women selection Zuzana Hejnova in the 400 m hurdles and Nikola Ogrodnikova in javelin are the top contenders for the podium. Strong trio is selected in women 1500 m (Vrzalova, Mezulianikova, Maki) and Anetka Drahotova competes in 20 km walk.
