SCHIFFLANGE (LUX, Jul 29): At CAS Meeting 400 m hurdles star Abderrahmane Samba of Qatar won the 400 m in 45.33 ahead of Mohmamed Abbas also from Qatar 45.53. Big personal best in the 100 m by British World U20 bronze winner in Tampere Kristal Awuah 11.20 (+0.7), 13th best ever U20 performer in Europe. Behind her Asha Philipp 11.31 and Portugal´s Lorene Bazolo 11.33. In men´s 100 m Canadians dominated, Andre Ford 10.24 (-0.3) and Sam Effah 10.26. In shot put Tsanko Arnaudov of Portugal 20.65 beat home record holder Bob Bertemes 20.47 and another Portuguese Francisco Belo 20.33. Israeli Dmitry Kroytor cleared Berlin standard to win the high jump with 226. In women high jump Ukrainians cleared 193, Yulia Chumachenko over World and European U18 Champion Yaroslava Mahuchikh. Another Ukrainian win for Yevhen Hutsol 1:46.95 in the 800 m. German Kristin Pudenz won discus 60.44 and on the men side Jamaican Chad Wright 65.47. Moroccan Fouad El Kaam won the 1500 m in 3:40.56.
