Wins for Haratyk, Swiety and Pryshchepa
SZCZECIN (POL, Aug 15): Wieslaw Maniak Memorial was the first International meet after the European Championships. From European champions winning were Michal Haratyk in shot put (21.08 over Francisco Belo of Portugal who equaled his best 20.86 and O´Dayne Richards 20.76), Justyna Swiety-Ersetic in the 400 m (51.81 over Amina Seyni from Niger 52.03) and Ukrainian Natalya Pryshchepa in the 800 m (1:59.91 over Anna Sabat 2:00.72 and Adelle Tracey 2:01.34). Piotr Lisek won the pole vault 580 (tried at 590) ahead of Pawel Wojciechowski 570 and Shawn Barber 560. In the 400 m hurdles Ukrainian Berlin finalist Viktoriya Tkachuk won in 55.28 PB over Kemi Adekoya 55.45 and Berlin bronze medalist Meghan Beesley 55.52. Moroccan Fouad El Kaam as only one followed the pacemaker in the 1000 m and ended his solo with in in 2:17.13 over closing home star Marcin Lewandowski 2:17.24. Poland´s Anna Kielbasinska won the 100 m in 11.44 (+0.3) ahead of Belarus Kristina Tsimanouskaya 11.45, in the 200 m Tsimanouskaya clocked 22.92 (+0.5) PB ahead of Briton Shannon Hylton 22.95 and Kielbasinska 23.11. In men sprints African 200 m champion Ncinhli Titi won his event in 20.40 (+0.9) beating home sprinter Dominik Kopec 20.59 PB and Solomon Bockarie also 20.59 (20.588 to 20.590) while in the 100 m Bockarie won in 10.38 (+1.1) over Titi 10.39 but Kopec was overall faster with 10.26 (+0.9) in other heat. South African Cornel Fredericks won the 400 m hurdles in 49.63.
