The Sports Integrity website has just released its judgments on Kenyan corruption at the highest levels involving the diversion of Nike funds by Kenyan Athletic offcials. What had been rumored for years has been announced by the Athletics Integrity Unit. In the feature by Andy Brown, ([email protected]), Senior officials at Athletics Kenya diverted Nike payments – Sports Integrity Initiative, a very well written and well researched piece on the high officials within Athletics Kenya who took payments from Nike meant for the Federation was diverted to the use of the three officials named. All of the documents noted are embedded in the story.
This is the beginning of the cleansing process in Kenya. In reading this, one wonders when Pappa Diack will be brought to justice, if ever.
Still, kudos to the Athletics Integrity Unit, which continues to bring key wrong doers to justice.
