AMSTERDAM (NED): European 5000m champion Sifan Hassan, a long-time competitor at 1500m, has said she may concentrate on the 5000m and 10,000m for the 2020 Olympics. Following her 65:15 half marathon last weekend, the Dutchwoman told nos.nl: “In the past I always thought that the 1,500 meters was my best distance, but this year I also walked a good 5,000 meters in Rabat and now that I have run the half marathon, I also want to see what goes on in the 10,000 meter is possible.” Hassan has also talked about moving up to the marathon at some point after the 2020 Olympics.
