NEWCASTLE (GBR): Mo Farah will face opposition from Ethiopia’s world marathon silver medallist Tamirat Tola, world fourth-placer Callum Hawkins and training partner Bashir Abdi in the Great North Run on Sunday, informs organisers. The women’s race features London Marathon winner Brigid Kosgei, New York Marathon winner Mary Keitany and leading Brits Charlotte Purdue and Steph Twell. Farah is targeting his sixth successive win in the Great North Run and Keitany is in contention for her fourth title.
