The Last Chance meet always gets some fast times as the 200m indoor facility is ungodly fast. It was proven again on Friday night with some screamingly fast mens’ 5000ms! Shadrack Kipchirchir set a WL of 13:08.25. Marc Scott’s 13:08.87 took down Mo Farah’s 13:09.16 from 2017!

BOSTON (USA, Feb 28): Fast men´s 5000 m during second day of loaded Last Chance meet. Shadrack Kipchirchir clocked 13:08.25 World lead and second Briton Mark Scott achieved new European indoor record 13:08.87. Previous mark of Mo Farah from Birmingham 2017 was 13:09.16. Third Edward Cheserek 13:09.05 ahead of Eric Jenkins 13:10.07 and Emmanuel Bor 13:12.53. Still sub 13:20 for Canadian Matt Hughes 13:13.38 and Willy Fink 13:17.15. Only 10th previous WL holder Paul Tanui 13:25.41 and 11 th Jordan Gusman with Malta indoor record 13:33.35. In second race Jordan Mann 13:27.68. Canadian Justyn Knight won the 1500 m in 3:36.13 over Briton Chris O´Hare 3:36.40 followed by Isaac Yorks 3:37.81 and Rob Napolitano 3:38.03. In the mile Charlie Hunter 3:55.41 with Olympic winner Matt Centrowitz third in 3:57.93. In women races Canadian Maite Bouchard clocked 2:00.93 in the 800 m beating team-mate Melissa Bishop 2:00.98 with Ce´Aira Brown 2:01.04 and French Cynthia Anais 2:01.67. Kate Grace won the 1000 m in 2:35.49, Heather McClain 1500 m in 4:05.29 over Emily Lipari 4:06.49 and Australian Jessica Hull the 3000 m in 8:56.61.
