This was the only way to go, and as Meet Director Mark Wetmore noted, the support of his sponsors, adidas and the City of Boston allowed him to reach out and move the event until 23 May 2021.

We will be there, as the adidas Boost Boston Games is a truly unique event.

North America’s only street-meet moves to 2021 as a result of COVID-19 pandemic

BOSTON, Mass. (Apr. 29, 2020) – The adidas Boost Boston Games will no longer take place on May 31, 2020 as previously scheduled, organizers announced today.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the efforts to protect the health and safety of all, the adidas Boost Boston Games will next be held on Sunday, May 23, 2021.

“Much like virtually every other major sports event in the world right now, it is clear that we won’t be able to hold the adidas Boost Boston Games as originally planned,” said meet director Mark Wetmore.

“With our foremost concern for the health and well-being of all involved, we are looking forward to bringing world-class track and field back to the heart of Boston once we’re through this difficult time.”

“I cannot overstate what tremendous partners adidas, the City of Boston and the Boston Department of Parks and Recreation have been in helping to make this unique event happen in one of the world’s great cities year after year, and we’re looking forward to more of the same next year,” said Wetmore.

About the adidas Boost Boston Games
