Donavan Brazier is the 2019 World Champion at 800 meters. The win was huge for Donavan Brazier. What struck me, in the interview, was the newfound confidence that possesses Donavan. He speaks about it. In his masterful win in Doha, Donavan Brazier pulled away at 500 meters and by 600 meters, it was obvious that Donavan was in control. His 1:42.30 destroyed the American record held by Johnny Gray over three decades. Donavan Brazier became the first American male to win a World Championships at 800 meters.

RunBlogRun spoke with Donavan Brazier a couple of weeks ago. This is the Full Interview. The interview was managed and produced by the Shoe Addicts (Mike Deering and Adam Johnson-Eder). The interview was conducted by Larry Eder. Special thanks to Donavan Brazier for his time and candor. Special thanks to Sandra Nel Kurman, communications manager for Global Athletics, and Mark Wetmore, CEO of Global Athletics for their support.
