Jessica Judd is a fine British distance runner. I have watched her development and have enjoyed her gutty racing. I welcome her comments on UK anti-doping and her concerns not only on the changes in testing but also the discussions in the media. Jessica Judd is correct in her comments. The reduction in testing is not good. It is absolutely insane, in this writer’s mind.
Nice comments, Jessica.

LONDON (GBR): GB international Jessica Judd has criticised the reduction in the number of tests carried out by UK Anti-Doping this year. Due to the pandemic, the agency has conducted only 1532 tests this year – down from 5155 for the corresponding period in 2020. Judd told BBC Sport: “It’s not good. I understand with lockdown there’s an issue there but it should be going up. To hear it’s nowhere near what it was last year is really worrying. I understand why there is a reduction but I don’t understand why it had to be broadcast to the world… It’s just like a free-for-all.”
