ADDIS ABABA (ETH, Jan 16): Some top tames at Olympic candidate trial meet. Winners of 10 000 m races clocked fastest ever times at the altitude registered here. Selemon Barega 27:58.5 ahead of Andamlak Belihu 28:05.1 and Guye Adola 28:23.4. Also women race brought record 32:03.0 by Yalemzerw Yehualaw. Second Tsehay Gemechu 32:37.0 and third Senbere Teferi 32:50.9. Nibrat Melak won the 5000 m in 13:42.7 with World champion Muktar Edris fourth in 14:02.8. In women category Fantu Worku won in 15:27.4. In the 1500 m excellent 4:02.4 by Gudaf Tsegay ahead of Lemlem Hailu 4:06.7. Tadesse Lemi won men 1500 m in 3:40.9. Also fast 2:00.5 by Welteji Diribe ahead of Hirut Meshesha 2:01.5. Adisu Girma won men in 1:47.6. Tadesse Takele in 8:35.9 beat Getnet Wale 8:42.3 in steeple, women winner Agere Belachew 10:06.5 ahead of Birtukan Adamu 10:09.1.
