Ryan Crouser set a new world indoor shot put with his 22.82m (74’10 1/2″0 and 22.70m, taking out the 32 year old World indoor record, set on January 20, 1989 by Randy Barnes, with his 22.66m.

Grant Holloway alerted all with his 7.38 in the heats. His 7.35 in the Final equalled his AR, set in March 2019. Holloway noted that he and his coach had been working on hurdle #1.

Thank you track fans for tuning in!

We know the broadcast needs a lot of work. I personally wanted to bring to attention today’s meet didn’t have any sponsors. Budget is non-existent & production team inexperienced with track.

I have faith next week will go more smoothly.🤞🏼♥️

FAYETTEVILLE (USA, Jan 24): What a superb start for American Track League indoor version. First leg at Randal Tyson Track Center saw new World indoor shot put record by Ryan Crouser right in round one with 22.82. He improved the former mark by Randy Barnes by 16 cm (22.66 on January 20, 1989 in Los Angeles). In his series Crouser in round three achieved 22.70, another mark better than the former record. After the competition Crouser said he has more in plan and is still in heavy training. He is scheduled to compete also in second leg next Sunday. Another top mark came in 60 m hurdles final where World champion Grant Holloway clocked super fast 7.35 (after 7.38 in heats) and equalled his own US record from March 2019.

Only two hurdlers were faster in the indoor history. Relay World champion Fred Kerley won the 400 m in another top quality time 45.03 ahead of Jamaican Christopher Taylor 45.73. World Indoor champion 2016 Trayvon Bromell was the clear 60 m winner in 6.48 (and missed his PB from that year by only 0.01). Well behind Nigerian Divine Oduduru as second 6.65. Gabby Thomas won the 300 m in 7th all-time fastest mark 35.92. In her race she was followed by Shakima Wimbley 36.78 and Kyra Jefferson 36.97. In first race Jenna Prandini 36.68 and in other section hurdles WR holder Keni Harrison 36.83 PB (also 7.26 in 60 m heats). Blessing Okagbare won the 60 m in 7.17 over Jamaican Christania Williams 7.18, in women hurdles impressive 7.86 by Tonea Marshall over Christina Clemons 7.88 and Tiffany Porter 7.89 (at age of 33 her fastest since 2016). Quanera Hayes won the 400 m in 51.76 and in two technical events, Vashti Cunningham 190 in high jump and Katie Nageotte with Megan Clark 450 in the pole vault were the best ones.

When you ask @RCrouserThrows to take your pic but his world record is up on the board in the background 🤣😅💀 CAN’T STOP LAUGHING 😂 pic.twitter.com/nNNiSy5qxx
