Sifan Hassan to focus on the 5000m and 10,000m in 2021

NIJMEGEN (NED): Sifan Hassan is looking to focus on the 5000m and 10,000m in 2021, informs NOS. “Right now I’m thinking of the 5,000 and 10,000 metres. The 1500m remains my favourite, but I don’t see myself running that distance at the moment. I have to do a few races to know where I am. Three or more,” she said. Hassan is currently based in the Netherlands due to complications with visa and the pandemic although she is hoping to relocate back to the United States in the spring. “It is difficult to get an appointment at the US embassy, so we have to be patient. The plan is currently March 22. Hopefully it can be brought forward,” said her manager Sander Ogink.
