This is Socialing the Distance Featuring Lynna Irby. Lynna is an adidas sponsored athlete who trains with PURE Athletics, and is coached by Lance Braumann. Lynna has impressive PBs: 11.27 at 100m, 22.25 at 200m (also 22.06), and 49.80 at 400m. Lynna won the 2018 NCAA 400m in PB 49.80. Last summer, Lynna the won the 400m Monaco DL 2020 , in 50.50. In 2015, Lynna won silver at the 400m distance at World U18 Champs. In 2016, Lynna won silver at the Wold U20 Champs at the 400m.

Lynna Irby was an enjoyable interview: she gave us a view into the challenges of being an elite athlete in the pandemic. She also has had the best launch night on a Socialing video that we have ever had!

Larry Eder has had a 52-year involvement in the sport of athletics. Larry has experienced the sport as an athlete, coach, magazine publisher, and now, journalist and blogger. His first article, on Don Bowden, America's first sub-4 minute miler, was published in RW in 1983. Larry has published several magazines on athletics, from American Athletics to the U.S. version of Spikes magazine. He currently manages the content and marketing development of the RunningNetwork, The Shoe Addicts, and RunBlogRun. Of RunBlogRun, his daily pilgrimage with the sport, Larry says: "I have to admit, I love traveling to far away meets, writing about the sport I love, and the athletes I respect, for my readers at runblogrun.com, the most of anything I have ever done, except, maybe running itself."
