Simbine for both sprints, Semenya in the 5000 m

PRETORIA (RSA): South African National Championships are starting on Thursday (until Saturday) in Pretoria at TUKS Stadium. The first event early in the morning will be men´s 10 000 m with all top names followed by women´s 5000 m with Mokgadi (Caster) Semenya being among entrants. Akani Simbine is scheduled to run the 100 m and 200 m. Sunette Viljoen is in javelin along with many other top domestic athletes in other events. World record holder Wayde Van Niekerk is listed in the 200 m entries, but his participation is not confirmed as he might get the necessary approvals to travel to the USA before that.
