Wayde Van Niekerk is Olympic champion, World Champion, and world record holder. He has recovered from a profound knee injury, and in trying to return to top form, is moving to be coached by Lance Brauman, one of the top coaches in the sport.

PRETORIA (RSA): Olympic 400m champion Wayde van Niekerk has been cleared to travel to the United States where he will train under the guidance of his new coach Lance Brauman, informs iol.co.za. “Wayde’s travel documents have been approved. Now we are waiting for the passports, so we hope to have it some time this coming week,” said his manager Peet van Zyl. Therefore, Van Niekerk could miss the South African Championships which begin on Thursday.
