The adidas Boost Boston Games began in 2017. adidas and Global athletics wanted to shake up the sports city of Boston, which GAM CEO Mark Wetmore, once called a “huge sports city”.

So, the first couple of years, they had a regular track meet, with distance events and hurdle events on the track and sprints and hurdles on the streets. By 2019, the party was about one site and one killer event.

In 2021, the adidas Boost Boston Games came back after the pandemic cancelled 2020, and gave us distance races in the morning and killer sprints and hurdles in the pm.
