Malaika Mihambo and Larissa Iapichino should make Florence an exciting meet.

FLORENCE (ITA): World and European champion Malaika Mihambo and world indoor U20 record-holder Larissa Iapichino headline a star line-up for the Golden Gala DL in Florence on 10 June, informs organizers. The line-up also features European indoor champion Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk and bronze medallist Khaddi Sagnia along with reigning world indoor champion Ivana Spanovic from Serbia on the comeback from injury. Other notable entrants include Olympic triple jump champion Caterine Ibarguen and Chantel Malone who has already surpassed the seven meter-line this season. In the shot put, New Zealand’s Tom Walsh faces a largely European field including Poles Michal Haratyk and Konrad Bukowiecki and recently crowned European indoor champion Tomas Stanek from the Czech Republic with another indoor medalist Filip Mihaljevic from Croatia. The event has been moved from Rome to Florence for 2021.
