Jakob was behind the 2014 World Half Marathon Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark, which was a huge success. He was also involved in Aarhus WC Cross Country in 2019 and the WA Half Marathon Champs in Gydnia, Poland during the pandemic. In this interview, we speak about the challenges of putting on events in the pandemic, how to make the sport more accessible and how Jakob Larsen sees the importance of events in his new job at World Athletics.
Jakob Larsen is also, one of the kindest human beings I know. Always thoughtful, with a big smile, Jakob is one of those unique people who understand that life is what you make it (a song by Talk, Talk in the 1990s).
