This coming weekend, the TCS NYC Marathon celebrates its 50th anniversary. And, as he is prone to do, Jeff Benjamin, senior writer for Great Staten Island and all things New York, suggested some reposts of some classic articles.

Jeff Benjamin, who was coached by Art Hall, wrote this piece on Art, who passed away at the age of 64 in 2011. Art Hall played a huge part in the amazing movement that became the New York Road Runners.

The Former President of the Staten Island AC & Chair of the Staten Island Running Association was the 5th man scorer for his Susan Wagner High School NYC XC City Championship team.
