The World Indoor Tour begins tomorrow, January 22, 2022 in Manchester, England. The meet, BoXX United Manchester World Indoor Continental tour has a fine cast of athletes for the opening global indoor series (38 meetings, 14 countries). MANCHESTER (GBR): The World Athletics Indoor Tour gets under way with the first edition of the BoXX United Manchester World Indoor Tour on Saturday, a Silver-level event which features quality European line-ups. The shot put has 21m throwers Marcus Thomsen, Bob Bertemes and Tsanko Arnaudov, plus British Olympian Scott Lincoln. On the women’s side, it’s Tokyo 2020 competitor Sophie McKinna versus European indoor silver medallist Fanny Roos and former US champion Chase Ealey. A quality field in the women’s 3000m has former European 5000m champion Meraf Bahta, European indoor 3000m bronze medallist Verity Ockenden and the in-form Jenny Nesbitt. In the 60m sub-10 runner Enoch Adegoke from Nigeria against former European 100m champion James Dasaolu. Others in action are 2016 Olympic relay bronze medallist Desiree Henry in the 60m, Tokyo long jump finalist Abigail Irozuru, Olympic pole vault finalist Nikoleta Kiriakopoulou, 2015 world junior cross-country champion Hasin Haji in the 3000m, Olympic steeplechaser Aimee Pratt in the 1500m, European indoor 800m bronze medallist Mark English, European under-23 champion Isabelle Boffey, European junior 400m champion Ed Faulds and 2.35m high jumper Marco Fassinotti.
