Featuring Katie Follett,

Brooks sponsored athlete

Katie Follett is an original, founding member of the Brooks Beasts. She has now moved back to Colorado, and is training while juggling a newborn son, Joshua with her husband. Katie was one of few athletes who qualified in 2016 in the 800m, 1,500m and 5000m. In 2018, Katie made the World Indoor team at 3,000 meters, finishing in the top ten in Birmingham.

Way back in 2013, Katie Follett won the 3000m in the Stockholm DL, one of the first Americans to ever do that. Katie is a fearless competitor, and her optimism shines through this entire interview. I have missed her countenance, and am happy to catch up with her. Oh, one more thing, don’t miss Cait Chock’s superb piece on Katie, right here: https://www.runblogrun.com/2022/01/katie-follett-and-a-new-kind-of-redemption.html

One more thing. I asked Katie what event she really wanted to run again, and she said, the 1,500 meters, of course!
