Last summer, in the Tokyo Olympics, one of the most exciting events in the entire athletics event schedule, was the women’s pole vault. Katie Nageotte cleared on 3 attempts, and Anzhelika Sidorova was clearing each height on the first clearance. And then, the battle began. Katie Nageotte had been told by her coach, Brad Walker, to be prepared for anything, kept her cool, and cleared 4.90m when she had to, taking the gold. Sidorova gave it all she could and cleared 4.85m, and Holly Bradshaw took the bronze, also at 4.85 meters.
At the All-Star Perche, Renaud Lavilenie has crafted a strong men’s field and a strong women’s field. You will be able to see them complete on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022.
