Ferdinand Omanyala ran 9.77 at the Kip Keino Classic last summer. Last month, Ferdinand tried out the indoor season and ran 6.65 and 6.63 in Mirimas, France. And today, he opened at the third meet on the Athletics Kenya series with a good, but windy 100 meter.

NAIROBI (KEN, Mar 4): African 100 m record holder Ferdinand Omanyala won the 100m at the third Athletics Kenya meet at Nyayo National Stadium with windy 10.04. “It’s am satisfied with my take-off at the blocks, which has improved. I attribute it to my 60m outing at the World Indoor Tour last month in France,” said Omanyala for Daily Nation. Purity Komen won women 10 000 m in 32:33.81.
