Fourth of July Race Introduces New Registration Schedule

ATLANTA – March 8, 2023 – Runners and walkers throughout Atlanta, across the country, and around the world can now sign up to be a part of Atlanta’s greatest day. Registration for the 54th Running of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race opened today. This week,  it is open exclusively to the more than 30,000 members of the Atlanta Track Club. Registration for non-members opens next week on March 15.

2023 marks the beginning of a new way to register for the iconic Fourth of July race. Club members will get guaranteed entry at a fixed price of $42 and be placed no lower than start wave M. Non-member registration starts at $50, and entry will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis as spots in the field of 50,000 remain. Wave placement will be based on a submitted qualifying time, and standards for members and non-members can be found here. Anyone who signs up for an Atlanta Track Club membership prior to registering will be eligible for all member benefits, including the lowest price and the guaranteed wave placement. Registration will remain open until June 4 or until the race reaches capacity.

“We expect a sold-out crowd on July 4,” said Rich Kenah, CEO of Atlanta Track Club and Race Director of the Peachtree. “Whether you are getting ready for your first Peachtree or your 50th Peachtree, we look forward to showing you why Atlanta is known as Running City USA.”

Held annually since 1970, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race is a 10K running party beginning at Lenox Square and finishing in Piedmont Park, where finishers are handed their coveted finisher’s T-shirt. Festivities for this year’s race will begin on July 2, with the Peachtree Health and Fitness Expo presented by Publix at the Georgia World Congress Center and the Microsoft Peachtree Junior in Piedmont Park.

The Peachtree will include an elite competition featuring some of the best runners and wheelchair athletes in the world. The race will be broadcast live on WXIA-TV 11Alive and on Atlanta Track Club’s YouTube and Facebook pages.
