Why we should be scared of Noah Lyles 2.0

The Hallesche Werfertage, a special throwing meeting in Halle, Germany, had some fine performances today, with three world leaders.
Chase Ealey is coming into shape, and the World Champion will be battling Li Jao Gong in Budapest. This is the interview that I did with Chase prior to the World Championships, https://www.runblogrun.com/2022/07/socialing-the-distance-featuring-chase-ealey-now-oregon-22-world-athletics-champion-womens-shot-put.html.
Chase Ealey is truly a tough athlete. Her confidence grows. Watch her go for Michelle Carter’s AR of 20.67m this season.
Ealey 20.06 WL, Borge 66.50 WL, Fabbri 21.74 EL

HALLE (GER, May 20): Chase Ealey won the shot put at the Hallesche Werfertage, a special throwing meeting (WACT Challenger), with a world-leading mark of 20.06 over Portugal’s Auriol Dongmo 19.16. Zane Weir produced 21.74, European lead, in the shot put ahead of fellow Italian Leonardo Fabbri (20.75) and Great Britain’s Scott Lincoln (20.68). Norway’s Sigrid Borge improved her personal best from 2017 by more than 3m to 66.50 WL to win the javelin and Budapest standard. China’s World Champion Feng Bin took the victory in the discus with 66.70 ahead of Kristin Pudenz at 66.34 and Shanice Craft at 65.89. Great Britain’s Lawrence Okoye (64.78) and Martin Markovic (63.27) of Croatia dominated the men’s discus and clearly defeated the German elite. Sweden’s Ragnar Carlsson won the hammer (75.27), Iosif Kesidis from Cyprus was the best in the U20 (6kg) category (77.78), and Denmark’s Katrine Jacobsen won the women’s hammer (70.53). Former Olympic champion Thomas Roehler is still looking for his best, finishing second (75.85) behind Max Dehning (77.20) in the javelin.
