This is Coffee with Larry for Monday, July 17, 2023.

Coffee With Larry is the almost daily (six days a week) podcast from RunBlogRun on the news of the world on track & field.

Sucking down a cup of Joe, yours truly speaks for 30 minutes (well, sometimes I go longer), on topics that get me interested.

Our topics today:

1. The Memorial Kamila Skolimoswka had 23,000 fans on Sunday, July 16.

2. The race of the meet was Sha’Carri Richardson dueling with Shericka Jackson. Sha’Carri needed 80 meters to get even and the last fifteen meters had her speeding away, taking the definitive win.

3. This is the complete results on the Silesia Diamond League meeting, https://www.runblogrun.com/2023/07/silesia-kamila-skolimowska-memorial-stadion-slaski-chorzow-pol-16-july-2023.html

4. Sam Fariss wrote this column on US athlete performances in Silesia DL: https://www.runblogrun.com/2023/07/the-us-comes-out-swinging-following-national-champs.html

5. Stuart Weir sent us this piece on the Brit performances (9, in fact) in Silesia DL: https://www.runblogrun.com/2023/07/2023-silesia-kamila-skolimwska-memorial-brits-in-silesia.html

6. Deji Ogeyingbo wrote this wonderful piece on Sha’Carri Richardson: https://www.runblogrun.com/2023/07/reborn-shacarri-richardson-comes-back-from-the-brink-and-is-now-ready-to-become-the-world-champion.html

7. I recorded this video on the second day of the 2023 USATF Outdoor Champs, https://www.runblogrun.com/2023/07/what-the-fans-think-at-the-2023-toyota-usatf-championships-day-2.html

8. This is Stuart Weir’s piece on the the British Budapest Trials, called “the Human stories”, https://www.runblogrun.com/2023/07/2023-british-budapest-trials-human-stories.html

9. Danny Mackey is the coach of the Brooks Beasts TC. He answered six of my questions, juggling his athletes performances in US and UK, on a very busy weekend: https://www.runblogrun.com/2023/07/2023-british-budapest-trials-human-stories.html

10. Deji Ogeyingbo did this piece on the Nigerian Championships: https://www.runblogrun.com/2023/07/from-the-underwhelming-crowd-to-a-surprise-100m-winner-five-things-we-learned-from-the-nigerian-national-championships.html

Thanks for listening to #CoffeeWithLarry
