The 2023 Pre Classic was one of the finest meets ever held in North America. In fact, Tom Casacky, a noted statistician, told RunBlogRun that one had to go back to the 1956 U.S. Olympic Trials’ first day to see a day that disrupted WLs, WBs, and top ten lists as much as day 1 did in Eugene.

The day 2, with two world records, was amazing, and the double by Jakob Ingebrigtsen was stunning.
