DUBAI MARATHON RUNNERS SET SIGHTS ON EXEED LX SUV

08 November 2023

EXEED by Al Ghurair Signs Up as Official Partner of Dubai Marathon 2024
Dubai (UAE): The 2024 Dubai Marathon will see one lucky runner drive off with a brand new EXEED LX Comfort after the iconic sporting event is staged in Umm Suqeim on January 7.
The ruby red SUV will go to the winner of a draw open only to runners registered to take part in either the 4km Fun Run, the 10km Road Race or the classic 42.195km Dubai Marathon itself.
The car raffle is part of a new sponsorship agreement between the event and EXEED by Al Ghurair, the renowned premium vehicle brand represented by AG Auto in the UAE, which sees EXEED as the Official Car of the Dubai Marathon 2024.
As well as offering a brand-new car in a draw that is open to registered runners only, EXEED will also provide the recently launched RX model as the Lead Vehicle for the elite marathon athletes as well, and a fleet of EXEED support SUVs will be on hand to facilitate the organization and infrastructure needs of the event.
“The partnership with the Dubai Marathon exemplifies our dedication to delivering high-quality vehicles that blend style, performance, and innovation,” said Ricky Mullins, Head of Business Development at EXEED by Al Ghurair.
“We are honored to be an Official Race Sponsor and set the pace for yet another successful edition of Dubai’s memorable road race. We are excited to be part of the marathon’s journey, which mirrors our brand values of resilience, endurance and determination, and wish every participant the best of luck.”
Sanctioned by the Dubai Sports Council, the 2024 Dubai Marathon will start and finish on Umm Suqeim Road with three races – the 4km fun run, the 10km road race, and the classic 42.195km marathon distance.
It will be the first time since 2020 that the event is staged in the area, with runners starting and finishing on the Umm Suqeim Road close to the Dubai Police Academy with the 42.195km distance taking in Jumeirah Beach Road and passing in the shadows of the iconic Burj Al Arab and Madinat Jumeirah.
“The chance to win a new car is a fantastic opportunity for every single runner who signs up to take part in the first big city marathon of 2024,” said Race Director Peter Connerton. “We’re delighted EXEED by Al Ghurair has joined us as a race sponsor. Their involvement will help us stage a memorable sporting event along the Dubai coast while showcasing their vehicles to thousands of runners as well as millions of TV viewers worldwide.”
He added: “Every run number allocated through the online registration system will go into a prize draw with one lucky runner – no matter where they finish in the race of their choice – winning an EXEED LX Comfort.”
The EXEED LX Comfort SUV boasts 190hp Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) with a 1.5 TCi engine with a fuel economy of 16.5km/l. The SUV features the latest in-car entertainment technology, including a premium Sony Sound System, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Drive Mode Select, and eight omnidirectional speakers.
Those looking to compete in any of the three race categories – 4km, 10km, and the 42.195km marathon – and be in with a chance of winning an EXEED LX Comfort – can register online now through the official website dubaimarathon.org.
