Our topics:

1. On his third try, Daniel Mateiko won the RAK half marathon in 58.45 against a very tough field.

2. Surprising many, Tsigi Gebrelama won the women’s RAK half marathon in 65:14. Now Tsigi will focus on the 10,000m, as she builds towards Paris 2024.

3. The RAK Half Marathon and surrounding events had 5750 registrations in the 2k, 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon.

4. The RAK is one of three global races in the United Arab Emirates.

5. The entire race was held on Al Marjan Island, starting and finishing at RIXOS Bab Al Bahr, a wonderful all-inclusive hotel with sports, sports bars, beaches, pools, and wonderful food.

6. Ras Al Khaimah wants to be a sports and adventure destination for families, young and old, from around the world.

7. This writer met many on holiday from England, Ireland, Poland, Romania, and Sweden, remarkedly all over.

8. The staff at the RIXOS was wonderful, very helpful, and solicitous.

7. Special thanks to FARAZ, the gentleman who cleaned my room, and the team in the Seven NIghts Restuarant was always helpful, providing me with Iced Tea on a constant basis.

8. Watch for Daniel Mateiko in the London Marathon this April and Tsigi Gebrselama in the 10,000m at The TEN this March!

9. Glasgow is the focus next week of the athletics world as 57 US athletes head to Scotland for the World Indoor Champs!

10. See you on Sunday for a special edition of Coffee with Larry!
