The Millrose Games is one of the most storied events in sports history. For over 100 years, the Millrose Games was hosted at MSG, Madison Square Gardens.

In the early 2000s, as crowds dropped from 18,000 to an unfathomable 6,000, MSG could no longer host the event and break even. The meet was purchased by Dr. Norb Sander, who moved the meet to the Armory.

The NIKE Track & Field Armory now hosts this meet, with 5,000 SRO screaming fans, and the historic Armory has seen some amazing fields over the last decade! Do not miss it on Sunday, February 11, 2024, on NBC Sports and Peacock!

The 116th Millrose Games will take place in just a few days, and the best athletes in the world are ready to take on New York City. The Women’s 2 Mile is sure to be one of the races of the day, headlined by the previously announced Alicia Monson, who set the American Record in the 3000m with her victory at Millrose last year. Monson is looking to add another record to her glittering resume, and the Millrose competition is sure to push her limits.

The nearly sold-out Millrose Games will take place at the Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory on Sunday, February 11th.

The athletes set to challenge Monson, including four additional Olympians, are as follows:

-Nikki Hiltz is the reigning US champion in the 1500m and the American record holder in the mile. Hiltz opened the indoor season by running faster than the American record in the 1000m on an oversized track.

-Emily Infeld is the 2015 World Championship bronze medalist in the 10000m, one of four World and Olympic finals that she has competed in.

-Courtney Wayment is an Olympian and World Championship finalist in the steeplechase, and she opened her season with a massive 5000m personal best.

-Nozomi Tanaka is an Olympian who holds nine Japanese records, including the 1500m, mile, 3000m, and 5000m.

-Medina Eisa and Melknat Wudu made it an Ethiopian sweep in the 5000m at the 2022 World Junior Championships, winning the gold and silver medals, respectively.

-Alicja Konieczek is a Polish Olympian and the European Team Championships gold medalist in the steeplechase.

-Krissy Gear is the defending US champion in the steeplechase.

-Aimee Pratt reached the World Championship steeplechase final for Great Britain.

-Emily Mackay is a sub-four minute performer in the 1500m, and a former five-time NCAA All-American.

-Roisin Flanagan of Ireland was a Division 2 NCAA champion at Adams State.

Stay tuned over the final days before the 116th Millrose Games, as the world-class start lists are completed. Top athletes already confirmed to compete include Yared Nuguse, Laura Muir, Elle Purrier St. Pierre, Julien Alfred, Hobbs Kessler, Alicia Monson, Grant Fisher, Danielle Williams, Josh Kerr, Cooper Teare, Christian Coleman, Andre De Grasse, Nia Ali, Rhasidat Adeleke, Yaroslava Mahuchickh, Vashti Cunningham, Chris Nilsen, and KC Lightfoot, with even more Olympians and World Championship medalists still to come.

As always, the Millrose Games will feature the absolute best athletes in the sport, including dozens of Olympians and world champions. The Millrose Games is a World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold meet. With the highest-level competition at the youth, high school, collegiate, club, and professional levels, there is truly something for everyone at the Millrose Games.
