The 2023 Steps Of Ascension For Yared Nuguse  – 2nd In A SeriesBy Jeff Benjamin

Mainstream America may not know it yet, but track geeks observed in awe in 2023 as the always easy-going, calm, cool, and collective Yared Nuguse climbed many steps towards greatness amongst the world’s best milers, an exclusive club in which the Notre Dame alum and 2021 Tokyo Olympian now rightly belongs to.

The ON Running Star, who’s coached by Dathan Ritzenheim, secured that rise with a variety of performances.
Here are video highlights of “The Goose” from his top 2023 races, and while he missed the podium at the Budapest World Champs, Nuguse nevertheless has shown he will be in that 2024 Olympic mix for sure!
