This is my daily chat with #RunBlogRun viewers and track fans on all things track & field!
This is Coffee with Larry for Tuesday, May 7, 2024.
Coffee with Larry is sponsored by #JAMBAR!
#JAMBAR is the Original Organic Artisan Sports Energy Bar, founded by Jenny Maxwell in 2021 after 3 years of development.
JAMBAR has 34 grams of carbohydrates and 10 grams of protein and is sweetened with maple syrup.
JAMBAR is the Original Organic Artisan Sports Energy Bar, www.jambar.com, CODE Larry 15!
JAMBAR has five flavors, 4 of them vegan! The new #TropicalTrio tastes great!
Jenny Maxwell and her late husband, Brian, founded the sports energy bar category in 1985 with POWERBAR. They sold the brand in 2000, and Brian passed in 2004. For the next two decades, Jenny raised their six children, and then, three years ago, at the suggestion of her youngest daughter, Jenny Maxwell, she began to develop JAMBAR.
I learned about JAMBAR at the Running Event last December, and it tastes great!
To order, please go to www.jambar.com and use CODE LARRY15 for a fifteen percent discount!

Our topics:
1. The importance of the 70th anniversary of the first sub-four-minute mile on May 6, 2024, at the Iffley Road Track at the University of Oxford needs to be appreciated. On May 6, 1954, Roger Bannister, Chris Brasher, and Chris Chataway did what was thought to be impossible!
Chris Chataway is presented with the 1954 SportsView award by Roger Bannister, 1954. Photo by BBC, all rights reserved.
2. The Doha Diamond League is this weekend, May 10 (Friday); you can find info here; www.diamondleague.com
The global office for RunBlogRun in Doha, Qatar, for May 5, 2023.

World Athletics Relays poster from World Athletics
8. The US won the Mixed 4×4, Men’s 4×1, Women’s 4×1, and Women’s 4×4; they made the Men’s 4×4 in Paris after a DQ for lane infringement, giving the US max of 5 events with a team in each! Well done! Gabby Thomas impressed!
