Jakob Ingebrigtsen destroyed the 3,000m world record of Daniel Komen, which was set in 1996 with his 7:17.55, breaking the WR by nearly 4 seconds! i was able to get in a couple of questions in Silesia with Jakob remotely (thanks to Matthew Quine of Diamond League AG)). I have intereviewed Jakob several times, really admire him and respect his honesty.
2. Ten Meet records in Silesia today, including two world records~
3. 42, 357 fans today in the stadium, second largest crowd in 2024 for a single day event!
4. Mondo Duplantis ends the meet with his 10th world record in the pole vault, clearing 6.26m in his second attempt!
