ATLANTA – March 27, 2025 – Two Olympic gold medalists from the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and America’s most outstanding female athlete are returning to Atlanta. Noah Lyles, Grant Holloway, and Anna Hall will headline the 2025 Adidas Atlanta City Games on Saturday, May 17, as the event returns on a custom-built elevated track in Piedmont Park, Atlanta Track Club announced today.

Designed as a jam-packed, all-day track and field festival, the Adidas Atlanta City Games invites fans to experience the sport up close, with a dedicated fan zone, meet-and-greets with elite athletes, exclusive Adidas gear at Atlanta Track Club’s merchandise tents, and festival atmosphere featuring food trucks. North America’s only street meet, the City Games, will bring the sport’s biggest stars out of the stadium and into the heart of the ATL with free, open-to-the-public spectating opportunities.

Lyles, the reigning 100m Olympic Champion, the 200m American record-holder, and four-time World Champion at 100m and 200m, welcomes the spotlight of being known as the world’s fastest man. He will race the 150m. Grant Holloway, himself an Olympic Champion and six-time World Champion indoors and out, has not lost an indoor race in the 60m hurdles since 2015.  He will compete in the 110m hurdles. Anna Hall, the 2023 World Championship Silver Medalist in the Heptathlon, will compete in the 100m hurdles and the long jump.

The day’s festivities commence with the Youth Mile & Dash. This free youth event is open to the public. Also, it serves as the season finale for Kilometer Kids, Atlanta Track Club’s free youth running program serving thousands of kids in the greater Atlanta area.

At the same time, Georgia’s top high school sprinters, jumpers, and throwers will compete for the meet of champions-style titles. Track events will occur at Midtown High School, while the long jump and pole vault events will be in Piedmont Park. The sprint finals of the 100m, 200m, 100m hurdles, and 110m hurdles will be held on the elevated track in the meadow in Piedmont Park. Athletes automatically qualify by achieving the time standard or winning a state title the week before at the GHSA State Championships.

Then, at 3:00 p.m., the spotlight shifts entirely as the Adidas Atlanta City Games welcomes Olympic and World Champions to the elevated track for an electric afternoon of competition. Athletes will compete head-to-head in sprints, hurdles, and field events.

Following the professional events, competitive middle school age-group 100m races will take place on the elevated track straightaway.

The evening will culminate with Georgia’s top high school distance runners competing under the lights back at Midtown High School in the 800m, 3200m, and Mile to finish off the meet of champions-styled competition.

“The Adidas Atlanta City Games isn’t just another track meet—it’s where the world’s best and the sport’s rising stars share the same stage,” said Rich Kenah, CEO of Atlanta Track Club, which produces the event alongside Global Athletics & Marketing, Inc. “One minute, you’re watching the future of track and field prove themselves. The next, you’re seeing Olympic champions go head-to-head at full speed. That makes this event different—and why Atlanta is the perfect place.”
