Friday, April 18th, 3PM-4PM Brooks is committed to uniting the running community and spotlighting groups making the sport more inclusive. Join Kiera Smalls of the Running Industry Diversity Coalition in conversation with Vanessa Peralta-Mitchell, founder of Game Changers, and James Dowell Jr., co-founder of Prolyfyck Run Crew, as they discuss the impact of strong run communities and the importance of empowering local leaders to inspire others.

Athlete Meet & Greet + Shakeout Run

Friday, April 18th 5PM-6PM On site at Dick’s House of Sport: Join Brooks Running and professional athletes, Jess McClain and Zach Panning for a shakeout run hosted by the Dick’s Sporting Goods Boston House of Sport. Jess and Zach will kick off the event with a meet and greet followed by the run. Afterwards enjoy light refreshments courtesy of Brooks.

26.TRUE Brooks Cheer Station

Saturday, April 19th, 7AM-4PM(or last runner) Come help Brooks support the 26.TRUE race at our cheer zone on Saturday! Not only will we be cheering on the runners, but we will also be handing out essential hydration and fuel. Our cheer zone will have music, snacks, swag, and endless energy! Runners will go by us at miles 1.6, 11.2, 14.7, and 24.3. We will be out there starting at 7am and lasting until the last runner goes by. Location: Rear Parking Lot at Franklin Park Zoo

Saturday, April 19th, 11AM-12PM Join Des, CJ, and special guest moderator Emily Abbate, for a look ahead to race day and how to prepare for the journey through Boston’s streets as they take you from Hopkinton through the Scream Tunnel to Heartbreak Hill, and on towards Boylston Street. In conversation with Emily, Brooks Athletes and Boston finishers, Des and CJ will share their history with the course and unique perspective on the road from training cycle to finish line.

Spin the Block- PYNRS

Saturday, April 19th, 6PM-7PM It’s a relay. It’s a vibe. It’s a party. It’s everything you want on a Saturday night. It’s crew love. And it’s coming your way! Unlike your run-of-the-mill racing events, SPIN THE BLOCK takes ENERGY to a whole new level. How it works: Each relay team will consist of THREE co-ed runners (no single-gendered team). The unsanctioned, unpermitted route will be announced on the night of the race. The distance for each runner is less than 1 mile. There’s way more to the SPIN THE BLOCK than just finishing first. You will be judged (!) and prizes will be awarded to 3 teams for: * Runners Team Drip * Most Lit Team Energy * Fastest Team Don’t sleep! Send the bird call, get ya hittas, get the drop, and SPIN THE BLOCK on ’em!

With a cumulative of nine Boston finishes, six top-8 performances at World Major Marathons, six U.S. National Championships, and three kids, aged pre-school to high school, these three accomplished women will share stories and insights from their own unique journeys on the run.
