We are almost at Boston Marathon time. For the first time since 2017, I will be attending the Boston Marathon. From 1986-2017, I attended the Boston Marathon almost each and every year. One of the highlights was seeing Guy Morse post-event. I would always participate in the post-event (Tuesday morning) press conference, where the stats and final thoughts about the race were discussed.
Guy was the first professional and executive race director. He established relationships with Adidas, Gatorade, and then John Hancock. These relationships helped build the legacy of the modern race. Tom Grilk and now Jack Fleming have followed, keeping the iconic race growing and prospering.
The following is a 4 part interview with Guy Morse, who I hope to see this year, as I reconnect with all of my friends at Boston.

Guy Morse took the Boston Marathon, kicking and screaming into the modern age. This video series was done by The Shoe Addicts and RunBlogRun. Morse was involved with adidas, Gatorade and of course, John Hancock, and the long term agreements that give the Boston marathon its financial stability.
