I always enjoy my conversations with my friends at BBC Radio. I have been fortunate to have been on several difference programs. I first began on BBC in Beijing, China is 2008. I did a short segment after a few planned guests had disappeared. I have always found the broadcast a lot of fun.

This conversation was with Ed Harry and Lee James. Lee James was the emcee and Ed Harry provides much of the athletics coverage for BBC World Service. We had a blast as always. I loved Ed’s coverage of the Diamond League that preceeded the Grand Slam Coverage and then, our Grand Slam Coverage is also, I believe informative.

Remember, we had discussed the first Grand Slam meet in Kingston on BBC World Services last month. We noted great perfomances but, lackluster attendance.

This time around, Grand Slam had a smaller venue, with a good crowd, and the AR by Masai Russell made a huge addition for the second Grand Slam. Enjoy our coverage!

Catch the BBC World Service’s conversation on the electrifying women’s 100m hurdles at the 2nd Grand Slam Track meet in Miami, where Masai Russell (setting an American record and the second-fastest time in history) and Tia Jones delivered standout performances. Larry Eder, co-founder of RunBlogRun, joins to discuss the race’s significance for the new Grand Slam Track series, the vision of founder Michael Johnson to keep track athletes in the spotlight between Olympics, and the debate over adding field events to future meets. Don’t miss this insightful look into the future of track and field and the athletes making history
