Our topics:
1. Today I am speaking about my experiences with the Olympics.
2. My first was in 1968, watching Bob Beamon on a little bw tv in St. Louis, with my Dad and brother, while we had our Saturday tradition, hot dogs with saurkraut, mustard and a pickle!
3. My second experience was in 1972, watching the broadcast as I was beginning to run cross country at DeSmet.

4. By 1976, i was into the Olympics, watching from Blytheville, Arkansas, where I my Uncle Bubba, and EW in Airforce, was stationed.

8. In 1980, I watched from afar, no TV due to boycott, but read in San Jose Mercury News each day on reports and TFN issue, a month later.

9. In 1984, I visited LA Olympic Trials, LA Olympics, thanks to Bob Anderson, my RW boss. Seeing Ruth Wysocki upset Mary Slaney in the 1,500m, and then, Seb Coe win 1,500m after silver in 800m in LA was life changing!
