Mahuchikh wants to improve High Jump WR this year

Yaroslava Mahuchick is popular wherever she goes. One wonders how much stress it adds to being the finest women’s high jumper in the world and representing her war-torn country, Ukraine?

SHANGHAI (CHN): Speaking at the pre-event press conference, Yaroslava Mahuchikh said she wants to improve the high jump World Record again this season. “My main goal is to protect my title of World Champion in Japan. I look forward to coming back to Japan and competing there. The main goal for this season is to improve myself and jump higher, and break my own World Record”. She jumped 2.10m at the Paris Diamond League last season.
