The Bauhaus Stockholm meet is one of this writer’s favorite meetings in all of Europe. From the pressers, to the enthusiastic crowd, to the hours of exciting performances, Stockholm DL delivers year after year!
Here are the performances by Americans in Stockholm for 2025, Kyree King, USA, was third in the 100 meters, with his 10.27 in third. The 100 meters was won by Benjamin Azamati of Ghana in 10.18.
Kyree King, USA, was also third in 200 meters in 20.49 in the 200 meters won by Reynier Mena of Cuba, who ran 20.05.
In the spectacular Men’s 800 meters, Josh Hoey was third in 1:42.43, a strong PB! Emmanuel Wanyonyi, Olympic champion, ran 1:41.95 for the win, showing how close he is to the world record! Bryce Hoppel was 8th in a rough race, running 1:47.59.
Abraham Alvarado, USA, ran 3:33.21 for ninth, and World Indoor bronze medalist Luke Houser, USA ran 3:33.99 for tenth in a very deep 1,500 meters.
Andreas Almgren, Sweden won the 5,000m in NR/ER 12:44.27. Olympic champion at 1,500m, Cole Hocker, USA, was seventh in 13:09.36 and Morgan Beadlescomb, USA, was 8th in 13:13.37.
In a thrilling 400m hurdles, Rai Benjamin, Olympic champion, won the close race over Alison dos Santos, Brazil, 46.54 to 46.48, with Karsten Warholm, NOR, third in 47.41. A tough, tough race.
In the Men’s pole vault, Mondo Duplantis broke his twelfth world record with his leap of 6.28 meters. World Champion, two time Olympic medalist Sam Kendricks, USA, was eighth in 5.60 meters.
Isabella Whitakker, USA, now running for On running, took the 400m again from Norway’s Henrietta Jager, 49.78 to 50.07.
Addison Wiley, USA was seventh in the tough women’s 800 meters, with Addison running 1:58.86. The Women’s 800m was won by Olympic 1,500m bronze medalist Georgia Hunter-Bell, GBR.
Grace Stark, USA ran 12.33 in a highly competitive 100m hurdles to hold off Ackera Nugent, JAM, in 12.37. Kenni Harisson, USA, former World record holder, ran 12.69 in fifth.
Femke Bol, NED won the 400m hurdles in 52.11, a new meet record. In second place was Delilah Muhammed, USA, Olympic champion, who ran 52.91, ten years after breaking 53 seconds for the very first time!
Vashti Cunningham, USA was fourth in the high jump in 1.91 meters, as she builds to Tokyo.
Sandi Morris continued her comeback with a WL 4.82m clearance to win the women’s pole vault in Stockholm. Emily Grove, USA, was sixth in 4.23 meters.
In a women’s long jump dominated by Americans, Tara Davis-Woodhall, USA, took the win in 7.05 meters. Jasmine Moore, USA, was third in 6.76 meters. Claire Bryant, USA, World Indoor Champ, was fifth in 6.74 meters. Monae Nichols, USA was 8th in 6.55 meters.
A strong contingent of Americans, in Stockholm as the season moves closer to Tokyo.
