NYC MARATHON FLASH-BACKS
NEW YORK CITY (USA): Olympic champion Sifan Hassan admitted she struggled on the hills on her debut in the New York Marathon, informs NOS. “I really thought I’d injured myself. My thighs, honestly, I could barely lift my knees. I couldn’t do any hills…I hadn’t done much hill training. After Sydney, it was mainly tempo training. Maybe that needs to change,” she said.

NEW YORK CITY (USA): Reigning champion Abdi Nageeye dropped out of the New York Marathon due to hamstring and hip problems, informs NOS. “For my health, I want to run a few more marathons so I had to make that decision [top drop out].
