Nadia Battocletti won the Cross Internacional de Atapuerca, her fourth appearance at the race. The fourth appearance was a charm, as the saying goes. Battocletti is the Olympic silver medalist at the 10,000m, at in Tokyo, won the silver in the 10,000 meters and the bronze in the 5,000 meters!
Nadia Battocletti is focused on the SPAR European Athletics Championships, which will be held in Lagoa, Portugal on December 14, 2025.
ATAPUERCA (ESP): Nadia Battocletti said she took a lot of confidence from her victory at the Cross Internacional de Atapuerca on Sunday, informs FIDAL. “I’m happy with the win in a race made difficult by the weather with its extreme cold and wind. But I’m happy to have regained my confidence in cross country on a beautiful course, staying focused until the end to be able to choose the right moment. It means I’m feeling good and on Sunday I’ll be competing again in Alcobendas, aiming to check my form ahead of the European Cross Country Championships,” she said. This was her first victory in four appearances in this race.
