With Keith and Kevin Hanson, Hanson Brooks ODP
Kevin and Keith Hanson founded Hansons Distance Project in 1999. In 2003, Brooks came on as sponsor and they have been the sponsor of the Hansons Brooks Original Distance Project since then. The Hansons Brooks athletes are everywhere, they race cross country, track and road racing, including marathons.
What is special about Hansons Brooks ODP? Keith and Kevin Hanson give their athletes time to develop. They pick athletes who did well in college, but who could develop into fine distance runners and marathoners. Among their athletes have been Brian Sell and Des Linden, athletes who needed the time to develop into fine racers.
In this interview, RunBlogRun reached out to the Brothers Hanson, and spoke to Keith and Kevin about the development of high school athletes, developing athletes within their Hansons Brooks ODP and some discussions on cross-country.
We thank Brooks sports marketing for their support and Kevin and Keith Hanson for their time and honesty!
