Boffey 1:57.43 WL
BOSTON (USA, Jan 30): British women highlighted Friday’s competitions at the John Thomas Terrier Classic. Isabelle Boffey delivered a huge overall PB and world lead of 1:57.43, becoming second fastest Briton indoors, when winning the 800m ahead of former World U20 champion Rosin Willis (1:57.97, short-track NR) and Gladys Chepngetich of Kenya (1:58.81 PB). Katie Snowden won the 3000m in a lifetime best of 8:39.39 from 16-year-old Ethiopian Elsabet Amare (8:43.93), second fastest U18 time indoors in a race with top17 sub 9-minutes. Annika Reiss topped the mile in 4:24.38 PB over Taryn Parks (4:26.99 PB) and Amina Maatoug of Netherlands (4:27.20). Overall PBs for Sydney Segalla in the 400m (51.90) and Sophia Gorriaran in the 1000m (2:38.75), while Victoria Bossong topped the 500m in 1:09.90.
