At the Millrose Games, RunBlogRun’s Jeff Benjamin asked a dozen athletes what the race or event was that let them know they could be elite at Track & Field. We call these moments, #TurningPoints.
Paula Sevilla is a Spanish sprinter.
Paula has won titles in Spain at the 100 meters (2019, 202), 200 meters (2022), and in 2025, Paula won the 400 meters indoors.
At the 2025 European Athletics Indoor Championships, Paula Sevilla took third in hard fought 400 meter indoors, taking the bronze medal in the 400 meters, in 50.99 seconds, equalling the Spanish National record.
Paula Sevilla represents Spain in the 4×100 meter and 4×400 meter relays, having made the National team for Espana that competed at Paris 2024 (4x100m relay), and 4x 100m/4x400m in Eugene 2022 and Budapest 2023. In 2025, Paula Sevilla made the semi-finals of the 400 meters, running 50.69 seconds.

Paula Sevilla has run 11.35 for the 100 meters (2022), 22.73 for the 200 meters (#2 on all-time list in Espana) and 50.69 outdoors and 50.99 indoors for the 400 meters.
Paula has also competed in the 4×100 meter relayas and 4 x 400m relays that set the recent National records.
RunBlogRun spoke with Paula at the presser for the Meeting Madrid presser, which was held in the Calle de Gallur on February 5, 2026. At that press point, RunBlogRun asked Paula about the race that let her know that she could be an elite athlete in track & field:
In #turningpoints, we ask athletes if there was a race or event that let them know that they could be an elite athlete in Track & Field. RunBlogRun asked #PaulaSevilla, who took bronze in the European Indoors in 2025.
